Mission

 

Software engineer or Electrical Engineer with expertise in high level software development, for IVD instrumentation to oversee our external partnerships. This role can effectively manage technical activities with external companies, ensuring alignment with project objectives, technical specifications, and quality standards. This role has strong background in both application and embedded software development, systems engineering, and experience in leading complex technical projects with external partners.

 

 

What your responsibilities will be

 

Technical Requirements Definition

1. Understand the requirements from stakeholders (Scientist team, Marketing team, Support team,...) and be able to translate to measurable and specific requirement.

2. Be able to understand and review low level requirements from the subsystem vendor

3. Have a clear understanding of software architecture. That includes the communication between embedded SW and the higher levels of application software.

 

Technical Proposal Evaluation

1. Lead Software architecture proposal from the external vendors

2. Approve test plans, risk analysis, reports

3. Participate in the software definition ad its different blocks.

4. Lead the interface definition between the embedded software and the application software

5. Participate in the risk analysis

6. Participate in the mitigations solutions and align with the different design teams

 

Technical Project Planning

1. Develop detailed project plans and technical deliverables schedules in collaboration with external vendors on SW sprints and releases

2. Ensure that project timelines, milestones, and dependencies are clearly defined and communicated to all parties involved

 

Technical Oversight and Guidance

1. Review and approve technical SW architecture, and implementation plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.

2. Review and approve technical software solutions, general instrument architecture, and implementation plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices

Technical Issue Resolution

1. Support the different instruments prototypes at the different R&D centers understanding the failures and reporting to the appropriate external company.

2. Report incidences or improvements to the external partnerships.

3. Collaborate on issues resolution, determine root cause and approve resolutions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in similar responsibilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English both written and oral mandatory
  • Strong technical expertise in software design, systems engineering, and integration.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing software activities with external vendors and contractors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Flexibility for U Program: Hybrid Model

Flexible schedule: Monday-Thursday 7-10 to 16-19h and Friday 8-15h (with the same flexible start time).
