The Medical Affairs Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with scientists and key opinion leaders mainly in Spain and Portugal, but not restricted to these countries, sharing and communicating relevant information related to Pulmonology.

Working closely with local marketing and commercial teams, you will support and lead in launching product strategies aligned with business development plans 

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage scientific events like advisory boards or other scientific meetings (symposia or standalone meetings).
  • Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders through knowledge exchange on scientific trends and ideas.
  • Provide medical content for medical education programs for clinicians externally and internally as well as internal training programs to promote medical and scientific understanding of the products.
  • Attend national and EU medical conferences on the respective disease areas and provide reports from these meetings for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide scientific responses to enquiries by internal and external customers.
  • Develop strategies for business increase with all cross-functional partners due to improved product positioning and/or expanded indications.
  • Collect and analyze from strategic point of view competitor medical/scientific information from different sources/departments and communicate to the appropriate internal functions and departments.
  • Monitor the accuracy of the medical content of marketing materials.
  • Manage the knowledge in your respective area including revision of current literature updates, slide sets etc.
  • Select and write summaries of relevant literature to support marketing and sales force teams.
  • Coordinate requests for investigator sponsored research coming in from customers and support the execution of the projects.
  • Contribute to scientific publications generated from Grifols projects or studies (including abstract writing or revision of manuscripts).
  • Cooperate closely with colleagues within the global medical affairs team.

 

 

Who you are

  • You have a Health sciences related education; MD or PhD.
  • You have minimum 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably Medical Affairs. Experience related to Pneumology is considered a plus.
  • You speak an advanced level of English.
  • You have analytical and communicative skills, ability to summarize and evaluate scientific literature and to work independently and approach to problem solving.
  • You have availability to travel.
