Role Mission

 

Design and implement customized laboratory automation solutions that optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure operational excellence in transfusion medicine laboratories. Act as a trusted technical expert and advisor, supporting global projects and collaborating with clients and internal teams to implement innovative automation solutions.

 

What your responsibilities will be

 

  • Engage with customers to understand workflows, operational needs, and automation challenges.
  • Propose technical automation solutions to optimize laboratory processes and support sales activities.
  • Act as a technical expert on Grifols automation products, supporting internal teams (Service, R&D, Regulatory, Sales, Marketing).
  • Create laboratory layouts and 3D solution models using CAD and LabBuilder tools to visualize proposed solutions.
  • Define solution requirements and collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Support validation, testing, and go-live activities to guarantee smooth deployment and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to automation product innovation.
  • Support global projects and travel to customer sites as required to deliver solutions. 

 

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have an advanced level of English (C1) – indispensable.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in laboratory automation, including system integration, workflow design, and process optimization – indispensable.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles such as consulting, solutions engineering, or technical support - indispensable.
  • You have extensive knowledge of laboratory workflows, ideally in transfusion medicine or high-performance clinical environments.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You are able to manage multiple projects and customer relationships simultaneously.
  • You are available for frequent travel, both within the country and abroad, depending on the projects.
  • You have experience using CAD tools (AutoCAD) and 3D design tools (LabBuilder) or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies – desirable.
