Mission
The Senior Quality Control Manager will lead and organize the Quality Control area within our Biopharma division, dedicated to researching, developing, and producing therapeutic plasma proteins derived from human plasma fractionation. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and safety of plasma processed at our facilities, adhering to quality standards (GMP, ISO) and current legislation.
The primary goal of this position is to ensure that established objectives are met regarding the quality of both plasma and finished products or services provided at Biomat S.A.
What your responsibilities will be
- Lead and Organize the Quality Control Laboratory: Oversee routine operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standards.
- Participate in Analytical Investigations, CAPAs and complaints: Evaluate analytical results, analyze incidents, and implement corrective, preventive, and improvement actions. Management of complaints, enduring prompt resolution.
- Conduct Risk and Impact Analysis: Assess changes in processes, techniques, and facilities to ensure minimal risk and optimal performance.
- Review and Approve Validation Reports: Ensure analytical methods meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Manage Documentation: Propose, review, and approve documentation for the laboratory and collaborative areas.
- Supervise Training Programs: Define and oversee training for laboratory personnel, ensuring continuous professional development and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure Compliance with Quality and Safety Standards: Maintain high standards of quality and safety, ensuring cohesive and aligned work practices.
- Resource Planning and Allocation: Efficiently plan and allocate human and material resources, optimizing their use.
- Budget Management: Propose and manage budgets and investments for the laboratory.
- Lead Laboratory Projects: Oversee and guide projects related to the laboratory, ensuring successful implementation and outcomes
Who you are

- A Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent
- A minimum of 5- 10 years in quality control or related experience
- Experience in analysis of blood, plasma or serum samples will be valued.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and working under ISO 9001 standards is highly valued
- Proven experience in team management, demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience in optimization projects is essential, familiarity with Lean methodology is highly valued.
- Time Management and Organization: Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- High verbal and written communication skills to interact with different organizational levels and external parties
