Position Overview

The primary role of the Senior Manager Warehouse and Logistics North America is to efficiently and effectively  leverage logistics excellence to include Grifols 3PL partners, Carrier Partners, Customer Service, International Trade and Compliance (ITCL) and Global Supply Chain / Logistics. This role serves as the key Warehouse and Logistics contact for both internal and external customers for shipping and warehousing. The Senior Manager Warehouse and Logistics North America helps drive customer loyalty and achievement of the company’s sales, revenue and EBIT objectives by delivering best in class fulfillment and logistics operations enhancing the customer experience, but also optimizing the use of resources and costs in the North American Supply Chain.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Activities & Authority / Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute programs to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize, and drive initiatives to obtain value including the harmonization of transportation between BU’s, packaging used for courier final mile shipments and warehousing operations
  • Implement and manage a common set of key performance metrics standardized by Global Supply Chain to accurately depict performance on inventory/order accuracy, cost, service and improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistic operations.
  • Harmonization of the Logistics Network supporting all Grifols North America entities.
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand customer wants and needs, and develop solutions to drive excellence in customer experience and logistics while delivering savings to Grifols overall spend              
  • Lead coordination of regional MSA development between Grifols BU’s, Legal, Quality and Suppliers
  • Develop regional freight and warehouse budgets and set QBR’s with all Tier I Partners
  • Participate in determining transportation solutions for Inbound and Outbound Transportation while leveraging Grifols North American entities
  • Ensure vendor’s adherence to Grifols SOPs and Quality Standards
  • Support all Policies and Strategies of Global Supply Chain and the Regional Supply Chain Partners

 

Identify and execute joint value creation opportunities in the supply chain with key internal customers

Bachelor’s in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field. A degree in a related field is strongly preferred

 

Experience: This role requires  5+ years’ experience in logistics management and 5 or more years’ prior supervisory/managerial experience. Past overall supply chain management experience over different SC functions will be an asset.  Multi-site and multi-mode logistics and warehouse management is required.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.   Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
