The R&D Process Technology summer intern will be working on projects with the following goal: To choose an alternative formulation for liquid and lyo-formulations of a drug product. The work will involve screening various buffers, excipients and stabilizers, at different concentrations and their effect on the stability and aggregation levels will be studied. Different strategies will be used for liquid vs. lyo- drug product. The focus will be also on using orthogonal techniques to Size Exclusion-HPLC such as Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Differential Scanning Calorimeter,  Circular Dichroism, and  Plate-based DLS. Based on the results, alternative formulations will be prepared and screened to obtain the correct osmolality.



Candidate must be currently enrolled in 4 year degree program pursuing Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering or related field as rising junior or senior, can also be current Master's or PhD student. Ideal candidate has an interest in protein purification and characterization and knowledge of operation of plate readers, ultrafiltration/diafiltration, and filter sizing. Computer skills would include Microsoft Office. Hands-on knowledge of equipment installation/maintenance is a plus.


Must currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher
