Commercial Learning and Development is seeking two summer interns to assist with the development and deployment of sales training programs.  The chosen candidates will work with the sales training associate directors and managers on multiple simultaneous initiatives.  In addition, the identified candidates will collaborate with leadership in other departments of the organization to assist with the completion of sales training projects. 



Working with the Training Directors and Managers to:

  • Develop Leaders Guides for new and existing workshops
  • Develop and report on surveys for field representatives and field directors to identify areas for training adjustments
  • Assist with uploading projects and materials into the Legal, Medical, Regulatory (LMR) Review system and attendance of LMR meetings
  • Attend regular CL&D staff meetings and various meetings with CL&D and marketing to review strategies and initiatives
  • Work in conjunction with Commercial Learning and Development to assist in the planning and development of training class agendas and workshops
  • Collaborate with leadership in multiple departments to assist in the development of effective training strategies and learn about all areas of the business 

As an intern for Commercial Learning and Development you will gain an understanding of sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical/plasma industry and the regulations that must be followed.  You will also gain an understanding of how various departments within a pharmaceutical company interact, particularly marketing, sales, medical, legal and regulatory, and a working knowledge of the types of projects associated with sales training. 



  • Applicants for the internship should be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, instructional design, pharmacy/biology or other medically related field.
  • Currently a rising junior or senior or Master's or PhD student with a GPA of at 3.0.
  • Good experience using, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Storyline is helpful.
  • The tasks require extensive teamwork, good communication skills and willingness to learn and work with new computer software
  • Following an initial training period it is expected that tasks are executed independently with little supervision. Time management, prioritization and scheduling skills are important.
  • Willingness to take initiative with multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills to complete all tasks and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • At the completion of the internship the intern will be required to present the results of their activities to the senior leadership at Grifols.
