Summary:
The Performance Excellence Manager Drives operational consistency, compliance and sustainability of standardized models across the Plasma Procurement organization. This role ensures that best practices are documented, deployed and maintained through governance, training, and performance monitoring. The position plays a critical role in embedding a culture of standard work and operational discipline across all centers and support teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define, document, and update enterprise process standards, playbooks, and operational models in collaboration with SME's.
- Develop and partner with Field Leadership a compliance framework to ensure adherence to standard models and operational and quality expectations.
- Establish and manage a maturity model that assesses adoption of standard processes and identifies where support is needed.
- Work with key stakeholders & CI Manager(s) to evaluate standardized processes for ongoing improvement without sacrificing consistency or compliance.
- Ability to use data to identify, assess, plan and lead process improvement opportunities to enhance team productivity, standardization efforts, and cost reduction services across the donor center E2E process.
- Assess challenges, metrics, effectiveness of donor centers operational processes for improvement in business objectives. This will include analysis of areas such as labor, marketing, customer service, compliance, training and internal systems.
- Work closely with inter-departmental teams and Operations leadership to conduct process audits, operational reviews, and gap assessments to measure conformance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement solutions for donor centers that have non-conformance with standard models/practices’ i.e. partner with Training if opportunities with education and knowledge.
- Develop and deliver training, communication, and coaching programs to promote understanding and adoption of standard practices.
- Stay abreast of industry’s best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Training, and Remediation Teams to embed standardization in new center openings, Integrations, or Centers requiring remediation.
- Focus on company-wide and inter-departmental processes that require a high degree of collaboration and communication.
- Work with Center Managers management in identifying Standardization opportunities within the center network business unit.
- Accountable to Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and monitoring KPIs for project outcomes.
- Use current or emerging statistical and/ or Data Science Methods.
- Harmonize datasets from multiple sources to determine business and operational trends and ultimately drive action.
- Drive a business intelligence roadmap; prioritize analysis requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business.
- Utilize Power BI, including visualization, parameters, report optimization, creating measures, modeling, reports/dashboards, and dataflows.
- Other tasks and assignments as instructed by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must understand the principles of Process governance and compliance mindset. Plasma collection background preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety, quality, and manufacturing programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and ability to implement effective improvement strategies and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, and manage multiple projects.
- Highly motivated, passionate with a lean mindset, while coaching people in continuous improvement and standardization methodologies.
Education and Experience:
- 4-year college degree in Business, Education, or Engineering. Prior training and certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt in root cause investigations is required. Certification in Change Management and Stakeholder Management preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 8-10+ years in Performance/Operational excellence, operational governance, or process management. Proven ability to develop and maintain enterprise standards and compliance frameworks. Experience in Training or influencing people without authority.
- Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Occupational Demands:
Work is performed in a variety of areas: centers, warehouses and office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequently drives to site locations, frequently travels within the United States, 50-70% travel, may require international travel. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacting with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
Pay scale of $115,561.00 - $173,341.00 per year for US Candidates depending on training, education and experience. This position is eligible to participate in up to 15% of the company bonus pool.
