Description:
The department of BioAnalytics has an 8-12 week project suited for a summer intern to aid in the development of key analytical methods used for characterization of processes and Grifols products. The intern will be trained how to design and execute experiments using liquid chromatography – mass spectroscopy (LC-MS). The incumbent will learn how to interpret complex data and generate summary tables in preparation for a presentation to management that summarizes the work at the conclusion of their internship.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in 4-year degree program pursuing bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or related fields as rising junior or senior; can also be current Master’s or PhD student
- GPA at least 3.0
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to perform laboratory searches, read laboratory procedures, and document work in a laboratory notebook
- Proficiency in laboratory skills including pipetting, use of balance, volumetric glassware, making solutions and laboratory safety awareness
