The Director of IV Compounding Technologies, Hospital Global Marketing will play a critical role in the development of strategy including analysis, planning and product development as well as execution of that strategy including product launches and ongoing promotional tactics. 
This role will require the ability to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders including KOLs.


Primary Responsibilities for Role:

  • Develop the Long-Term Strategic Marketing Plan for portfolios or products under area of responsibility.
    •      Identify and assess new markets and business opportunities
    •      Develop the positioning, core messaging, content and oversee key promotional activities linked with the devices and technologies 
  • Partner with R&D on product development including the definition of requirements and prioritization.
  • When introducing a new product or entering a new market, identify and cultivate relationships with beta/reference sites to validate/tune product requirements and confirm/tune the marketing strategy
  • Negotiate local or global agreements with suppliers or other partners to strengthen the product portfolio
  • Partner with local/regional sales to help ensure strategies are executed
  • Lead or contribute to the development and execution of product training, customer engagement tools and MCM activities
  • Develop KOL relationships to better understand customer needs
  • Oversee market research activities and lead advisory boards as needed
  • Establish clear timelines, employ strong project management, and ensure measurement for business-critical activities
  • Partner with and lead cross-functional teams effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders from a variety of disciplines (e.g., sales, subject matter experts, R&D, regulatory, legal, agencies, consultants, etc.)

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Preferred: Marketing, Advertising, Communications.
  • A background in pharmacy/life sciences/automation is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus but not mandatory. 
  • A minimum of 8+ years of applicable experience in marketing
  • Marketing experience in the medical device and/or pharmacy area
  • Marketing experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical or medical devices)
  • Experience working independently, as well as working with and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with the development of publication strategies or the development of scientific evidence to support products
  • Product launch experience
  • Experience working with sales to ensure strategic alignment/execution
  • Experience working with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and industry experts. 
  • Experience with business development, identification/development of new products
  • Sales and/or sales management experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience with the US market.  Global marketing experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience with sales force automation and marketing automation is a plus
  • Experience with collaborative software and project management tools is a plus
  • Proven conflict management/resolution skills
  • Able to travel both within the US and internationally if needed (25%)
