Summary
The Deputy Director Healthcare Compliance works in North America and globally to promote company policy consistent with applicable laws, industry best practice, and ethical values. He or she helps manage a comprehensive North American Healthcare Compliance program.
The Deputy Director will help oversee compliance activities for all divisions. He or she has expertise in the area, works with minimal oversight, and provides guidance to other team members and senior leaders in the area. The Deputy Director is an effective team leader.
Primary Responsibilities for Role
● Participate in and contribute to risk assessment and gap analysis
● Lead compliance monitoring and auditing program
● Create, review and revise company healthcare policies
● Ensure dissemination of compliance policies to appropriate employees
● Review changes in state and federal laws and assesses the impact on company day-to-day business
● Investigate, document and propose solutions for compliance issues and concerns executing recommendations as appropriate
● Work collaboratively with compliance colleagues to meet company objectives and serve customers
● Conduct audits of employees, processes, systems, customer events, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and company policies
● Develop and implements solutions and/or corrective actions
● Available for travel 20% primarily within the US

Education
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred, holds at least one compliance certification - or will obtain one within one year of employment-and additional certifications as appropriate for role.
Experience
10 years of related experience required

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
