Acquisition Marketing Manager

Location: RTP, NC


Building and expanding our plasma donor base is critical to growing our supply of plasma so that we can continue to offer life-saving treatments to patients. This role specifically is essential to the success of our Biomat USA business and would directly support our critical goal to grow plasma collections. This role would work with and across Business Units to ensure a unified approach in our marketing efforts.


  • Responsible for crafting strategy, influencing marketing plan, guiding creative use and development of campaigns to drive awareness and donor recruitment.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies that capitalize on our existing donor recruitment approach; Create new strategy for expanding awareness and recruitment with new, non-donor audiences.
  • Guide strategic thinking to help prioritize non-donor segments for recruitment, aligning resources and marketing efforts to deliver a cohesive marketing plan. Collaborate across our team to help tailor our message, channel, etc. to each segment.
  • Partner with Marketing Managers (MMs) to offer relevant recruitment campaigns; track campaign performance (i.e., engagement, collections) across Business Units to develop and syndicate best practices.
  • Consider how expansion to new audiences will impact the experience in the centers for new and existing donors
  • Work with Business Units and Marketing Managers to offer assistance with forecasts for collections and new donors.
  • Continually improve recruitment messaging and materials by implementing a testing approach (e.g., champion/challenger model, A/B testing, etc.) Share insights across the department and Marketing Managers
  • Partner across the business, with Public Affairs, Training, and others to build awareness of the plasma donation industry at large.
  • Track awareness through donor and non-donor surveys and insights.


Additional Responsibilities

Collaborates with cross-functional groups on projects to help inform and reach recruitment targets. Supports non-donor communication strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and recruitment.


Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience.
  • Prior experience in customer acquisition, strategy development, business or marketing planning, and marketing execution preferred. Experience or knowledge of plasma or blood collection would be helpful, but not required. Candidate should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, verbal and written communications skills, ability to analyze and prepare data for presentation purposes, and people management skills. Candidate should be highly organized. Candidate should feel comfortable shaping new strategies, collaborating across our teams and with our agency partners, and sharing out insights to support the business.


Work is performed in an office environment. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms could be present when visiting plasma donation centers.   Exposure to electrical office equipment.  Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 35lbs. Occasional international or U.S. travel required. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.

Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.

Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
