Summary:
The Academy Operations Specialist will be responsible for directly supporting the Manager of Academy Operations in activities and tasks related to the management of training programs executed by the Grifols Academy of Plasmapheresis. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to managing program logistics while ensuring compliance requirements are met and adherence to program guidelines. The Academy Operations Specialist must demonstrate Grifols values and culture while demonstrating a strong knowledge of Grifols business operations, procedures, and policies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and maintain a command of Biomat USA Standard Operating Procedures.
- Create and maintain excellent recording keeping practices for all participants enrolled in applicable Academy programs.
- Assist all Academy accreditation activities.
- Construct and execute detailed project plans and formalized communication strategies.
- Assists the Academy in reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on applicable education programs.
- Ensure quality control and consistency for required components of applicable education programs to meet accreditation standards or other compliance requirements.
- Assists the Academy Operations Manager with the management of Academy programs and facilities.
- Work with appropriate staff to secure classroom spaces while ensuring logistics associated with classroom tasks and action items are completed in a timely fashion.
- Implement researched-based teaching strategies that engage all participants.
- Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback.
- Documents participants’ attendance, participation, and academic progress by giving and grading assignments, projects, quizzes and/or examinations that lead to a final grade.
- Must be accessible to participants outside the classroom, providing ample periods of time for counseling and mentoring participants in matters such as academic success and development.
- Support and assist the Academy Operations Manager in creating, obtaining, and maintaining essential program metrics.
- Create and implement computer-based training materials including eLearning materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate and field representatives who support the training programs.
- Work with applicable corporate departments to secure assets needed to support classroom participants.
- Maintain critical assessment documents as well as other program materials.
- Take ownership of securing and tracking employee travel arrangements and tasks/action items associated with said travel.
- Participate in and implement staff development activities to stay informed of latest effective training research.
Travel:
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the year.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in preparation and delivery of presentation to both groups and individuals.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Time management and organizational skills are imperative.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- This position requires minimum 2 years of experience in plasmapheresis or a similar industry.
- Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an associate degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
