The Sr. Project Manager will lead, manage and implement projects and strategic initiatives impacting Grifols Therapeutics (GT).  Projects may include but are not limited to: Process Improvements (delivering improvements in capacity, supply, yield, quality and/or compliance), Business Continuity (reduction of risk and/or impact of threats to core business), and Strategic Initiatives (supporting key business objectives). The Sr. Project Manager will also administer Portfolio Management through established governance processes.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Form and lead project teams comprising members of cross functional subject matter experts to deliver against project objectives (meeting scope, schedule and budget).
  • Manage stakeholder expectations while communicating project progress, risks and issues, including timely provision of project reports/dashboards to board governance.
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to project team members.
  • Significant contributor to the development and execution of project strategies within and across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ensure transparency, alignment, internal and external relationships and accountability within teams.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of decisions/discussions through published minutes and action items.
  • Support the development and execution of high quality, integrated cross-functional plans for the project.
  • Oversee the PMO Governance (meetings, invites, meeting minutes)
  • Manage the GT PMO Portfolio.Oversee project team meetings as applicable and ensure meeting minutes are finalized and filed and information is communicated to the larger team as appropriate.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Hands on technical experience in the Pharma or Biotech industry (production, quality control, research, development, engineering or validation)
  • Strong background in GxPs and ICH requirements and experience working in cGMP environment
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of results in a project leadership
  • Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization with demonstrated success initiating change and influencing at all levels
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of project management principles and concepts and be capable of independently interpreting and presenting project data to project team members and management forums
  • Strong presentation skills required. Must be able to summarize and present data/information succinctly and briefly to targeted audiences
  • Strong experience in Project Management Office (PMO) processes, creating templates, and training materials
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of setting priorities and delivering on commitments while managing high workload
  • Must be motivated and able to work under tight dead-line.
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to put in extra hours as required to meet project deadlines/milestones
  • Maybe required to travel for business reasons
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
     

Requirements:

  • BS (Science, Engineering or relevant field) with minimum 10 years in either pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research organization industry with at least 8 years in project management
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification and/or CPIP (Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional) preferred

 

Occupational Demands:  Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.   Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
