This position is responsible for ensuring GT Operations expenses including those reported in G&A and Manufacturing Costs are meeting approved budgets and interim forecasts and communicating issues and resolutions to GT executive management in a timely manner.  This position has responsibility for all budget/forecasts and monthly accounting accruals for Operations departments in GT across Manufacturing and Operations related G&A which includes Production and Engineering related cost centers totaling approx. $350M-$400M annually. This position is also responsible for consolidating all Manufacturing expenses for Grifols Therapeutics and and other entities as requested.  This position will regularly meet with GT Executive Management responsible for the Operations related departments listed above and review the monthly financial results versus the budget to evaluate performance and to indentify any necessary alternative courses of action for management decision making purposes.  This position will manage the cycle counting program for GT site and remote locations.  This position will review and assist with the month end inventory controls.  This position requires the ability to evaluate and rapidly respond to special requests for information and/or solutions directed from all facets and levels within the organization.  

 

Primary responsibilities for the role:

  • Leads the GT Operations cost related budget and mid-year forecast process.
  • Consolidates all GT Manufacturing related expenses in various financial software systems for corporate and executive management review.
  • Provides analysis and monthly reviews of the financial results versus the annual budget and latest forecast to all executive management responsible for GT Operations results.
  • Manages and validates that the forecast information is properly loaded and reported in the SAP and BI reporting modules used globally throughout the company
  • Executes the monthly accrual process for all GT Operations related functions so that these expenses are properly inputted and coded in general ledger
  • Provides US Tax Department with various customized and auditable forecasts needed to support the required US quarterly tax provision accounting entries
  • Supervises and develops finance staff
  • Provides miscellaneous financial analysis on various requests from corporate, Executive Management, or business units.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess strong organizational, communication, (oral and written), systems, and analytical skills.
  • Capability to prioritize multiple activities on a consistent basis
  • Ability to make sound judgements and recommendations; must be well informed of the company's operations and routinely interface with Senior and Executive Management in addition to all functional groups
  • Excellent software skills in SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Intelligence, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and FP&A tools
  • The ability to work with teams collaboratively 

 

Education requirement:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required.  CPA, CMA, or Masters degree preferred.

 

Experience requirement:

  • Must possess a minimum of 8 years of well-rounded experience in Accounting and Financial Management
  • Strong overall operational background required
  • Proven skills in development and implementation of complex financial planning and reporting systems

 

Occupational Demands

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for  6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.   Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck.  Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
