Summer Intern Biochemistry:
The primary area of responsibility will be support of immunology assays in the QC Biochemistry laboratory.
As a member of the Quality Control Biochemistry Methods Development & Validation group, the intern will perform or assist in the following:
1) Biochemistry test method development and validation
2) Instrument qualification
3) Data analysis
4) Perform assay testing
• The incumbent will assist in the replacement or transfer of test methods currently utilized for product release/specification testing.
• Documentation will include, but is not limited to, writing test procedures, test method validation reports, method development reports, and investigation reports.
• The incumbent must have hands on experience planning and carrying out assignments as well as author documents to define progress of project and lab works. Documentation should include, but is not limited to, writing test procedures, test method validation reports and method development reports.
• Experience within a GMP environment will be an asset
• The individual's scientific area of expertise should provide an understanding of immunology and/or immunochemistry and of analytical methods including ELISA, spectroscopic techniques, and tissue culture methods.
• The incumbent must have strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to people with varying degrees of technical understanding is essential.
• Strong computer skills are essential especially with MS Word, and Excel.
Requirements:

Candidate must be currently enrolled in 4 year degree program pursuing Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific field (Biology/Chemistry preferred) as rising junior or senior OR currently accepted or enrolled in Master’s or PhD program

Candidate must currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher

Familiarity/comfort with Excel, including working with Macros and pivot tables; Microsoft word and PowerPoint
