The primary goal is to transform raw utility and SCADA data into accurate, actionable insights that help improve energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainability performance across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Data Automation & Dashboard Integration (Primary Focus)

  • Develop an automated data pipeline that performs Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processing to move information from utility bills, SCADA systems, spreadsheets, and internal reports into structured datasets.
  • Extract data from multiple sources (billing systems, SCADA, spreadsheets, manual logs).
  • Transform the data by cleaning, validating, merging, formatting, and preparing it using Power Query.
  • Load the transformed data into Power BI so dashboards refresh automatically without manual updates.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that visualize real‑time and monthly trends in energy, water, natural gas, and sustainability metrics.
  • Implement data quality checks and document workflows for repeatability and long‑term sustainability.

Excel / Power Query / ETL Support

  • Use Excel and Power Query to structure, clean, and manipulate datasets feeding Power BI.
  • Automate routine data imports and transformations to reduce manual effort.
  • Ensure data accuracy through systematic checks, comparisons, and validation steps.

Energy, Water & Sustainability Support (Secondary Focus)

  • Assist with analysis of utility consumption trends and cost drivers.
  • Participate in facility walkthroughs to understand equipment, metering points, and operational systems.
  • Support the Environmental team’s energy, water, and sustainability initiatives with data‑driven insights.
  • Work with subject‑matter experts across the site to understand how utility systems operate and how data reflects real‑world conditions.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Create clear documentation for ETL processes, Power BI data models, and dashboard refresh procedures.
  • Maintain version control and process notes for transparency and handoff.
  • Suggest process improvements that enhance automation, accuracy, or reporting efficiency.
