We are looking for a Technical Applications Specialist to provide technical support and training on all instruments and assays marketed by Grifols Diagnostic Solutions and provide support to costumers directly and through Grifols associates, on workflow, software and equipment operation from operator’s perspective.
What your responsibilities will be
You will have the opportunity to:
- Provide operator training at customer sites for all Grifols instruments and assays.
- Structure the content, provide the documentation and conduct pre-installation customer training for analysers and readers either at customer site or at designated training centre.
- Provide technical support for Grifols instruments and assays.
- Perform the performance qualification of instruments at customer sites following installation and software upgrades.
- Liaise between key customer contacts and Grifols personnel to prioritise and define timelines for various projects and activities.
- Prepare instruments for demonstrations, evaluations and trade shows, in co-ordination with commercial team.
- Provide instrument demonstrations for customers both in-house, on customer sites and conference exhibits.
- Co-ordinate product evaluation and demonstration support for customers.
- Serve as an advocate for product and system enhancements and provide feedback and intelligence on the market environment, competition, and industry trends to the internal organization in order to maintain and improve product quality.
- Openly communicate with other groups within GDS and Grifols Australia to assure rapid resolution of issues raised by customers.
- Provide timely closure to all applications field support issues.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting in conjunction with Field Service Engineers to provide complete resolution of complaints and issues to customers.
- Undertake evaluation and validation testing of new products.
- Provide company representation and training on company products for tertiary institution programs.
- Contribute to the development of instrument manuals and training documentation.
- Assist in product performance investigations in co-ordination with the Technical Manager.
- Upgrades, pre-site evaluations and unscheduled visits to instrument sites.
- Ensure transfer of all relevant information on complaints to QC.

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science ( desirable a Immunohaemtology qualification ).
- You have good communication and presentation skills in English You have experience working with laboratory equipment, and ideally in a Pathology testing environment.
- You are communicative, goals oriented and innovative.
- A valid Australian drivers licence and own car is essential
- Both local and Interstate travel will be required
