POSITION SUMMARY:

The Site Procurement Senior Specialist is responsible for executing site-level procurement activities in alignment with Category Strategies, the Global Procurement Policy, and local regulatory requirements. The role acts as the primary procurement interface for the site, ensuring continuity of operations, cost control, supplier performance, and compliance. The Site Procurement Senior Specialist collaborates closely with site stakeholders, suppliers, Category Management, and Transactional Procurement teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and value-adding procurement outcomes within the defined site-managed scope.

 

What you'll do 

A. Site Procurement Operations & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the primary procurement interface for site stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, H&S, HR, Finance, Administration)
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning and Manufacturing to develop purchasing plans supporting daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational needs
  • Coordinate with site stakeholders to manage demand planning for critical materials, special delivery requirements, and annual order volumes
  • Participate actively in site projects (investment, optimization, improvement) to ensure procurement involvement from early stages
  • Support the Senior Procurement Site Leader in achieving site objectives related to supply continuity, cost control, compliance, and performance

B. Sourcing & Contract Management (Local / Site Scope)

  • Execute sourcing activities for site-managed spend in line with applicable Category Strategies and Procurement Policy
  • Support the preparation of RFx, bid analysis, supplier evaluations, and award recommendations
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with local/site-level suppliers within defined scope and approval limits
  • Support contract drafting, negotiation, signature coordination, and renewal management for site-managed suppliers
  • Ensure site-level execution and compliance with category sourcing strategies and supplier panels

C. Procure-to-Pay (P2P) & Demand Execution

  • Support resolution of procure-to-pay exceptions
  • Guide and influence requesters in the use of approved procurement tools, catalogues, and sourcing channels

D. Supplier Management, Performance & Incident Handling

  • Act as the primary procurement escalation point for site-level supply, quality, service, or commercial incidents
  • Coordinate incident resolution with stakeholders, suppliers, Transactional Procurement, Category Managers, and Quality teams
  • Monitor supplier performance (OTIF, quality, service, cost) for site-managed suppliers
  • Lead or support supplier performance reviews and corrective action follow-up for site-managed scope
  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers aligned with Category Strategies

E. Supplier Qualification & Change Control

  • Initiate and manage supplier onboarding and qualification processes (SLP) for site-level suppliers
  • Ensure suppliers comply with local homologation, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate procurement activities related to site Change Controls
  • Manage supplier-initiated changes and material specification updates, escalating to Quality and Category Management as requiredEnsure suppliers are informed of approved changes and implementation timelines

F. Data, Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse site-level spend, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs
  • Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvement initiatives aligned with category strategiesMonitor and report procurement performance metrics to site management
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, service levels, and supplier performance

G. Compliance, Audits & Governance

  • Ensure site procurement activities comply with the Global Procurement Policy, Global Procurement Model, and local regulations
  • Actively support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation, evidence provision, and response to findings
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions related to procurement audit observations
  • Contribute to the review, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement SOPs and governance documentation at site level.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in site-level procurement within a regulated industry (ideally pharma/biotech), with a strong understanding of procurement policies, category strategies, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) to support operational and project needs
  • Solid experience in sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiation, with the ability to deliver value while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk
  • Strong working knowledge of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, with the ability to resolve exceptions and guide stakeholders on best practices
  • Experience managing supplier performance, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high service levels and supply continuity
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification, onboarding, and change control processes within a regulated environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret spend data, track KPIs, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Strong understanding of GxP/compliance frameworks, audit readiness, and governance requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
