The Process Improvement intern will be responsible as a process improvement intern you will work with management and the continuous improvement engineer
What your responsibilities will be:
- Support Accelerated Improvement Workshops mainly focused on the improvement of efficiency in different production areas, leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Investigate and document process best practices to be shared across the shop
- Support the implementation of lean methodologies, including 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), to optimize workplace organization and efficiency.
- Assist in collecting and analysing data to measure process performance and identify improvement opportunities, adhering to Lean Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) methodology
- Assist in collecting and analysing data to measure process performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and kaizen events to generate innovative solutions to process challenges.
- Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
- Display reports in meetings to management and external groups
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
What you will bring:
- Currently pursuing a degree in: Science or Engineering
- Highly motivated individuals who can collaborate in teams and be a self-starter
- Not afraid to ask questions and be curious, with willingness to learn
- Computer skills, Office 365, especially Excel
- Highly focused, with an analytical mindset to find solutions for problems
