POSITION SUMMARY:

This role relates to the secondary packaging and visual inspection of pharmaceutical products for Global markets in line with relevant regulatory and cGMP standards using a mixture of automatic and manual packaging lines

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Packaging and/or visual inspection of Product across multiple packaging lines that can operate on a 24/7

 

  • Set up and operate and troubleshoot Secondary packaging assembly line equipment in a biologics processing environment for plasma derived pharmaceuticals. 

 

  • Ability to learn new processes within Grifols

  • This role involves critical visual inspection tasks that require accurate colour differentiation and 20/20 vision (corrective lenses permitted, not contact lens). These visual capabilities are essential to ensure the safety and quality control of the product.

Recruitment Criteria

Applicants must have normal colour vision, due to the nature of colour-based tasks performed in this role.

A colour vision test will be included as part of the pre-employment screening process.

Successful candidates will be required to pass a colour vision assessment prior to receiving an employment offer.

  • Completion of Batch documentation and associated records
  • Reconciliation of materials
  • Support new staff in knowledge transfer
  • Attention of detail in duties
  • Perform wrapping of pallets and associated SAP transaction when required
  • Ensure Training is up to date

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to lift /move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods - up to four (4) hours at a time. 
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. 
  • Manual dexterity to perform all job functions. 

 

 

  • Previous experience in a Packaging or Manufacturing industry 
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of cGMPs, EU regulations, and industry guidelines highly preferred. 
  • Belt certified (Yellow, Green or Black)

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum leaving cert from Secondary school or equivalent
  • Minimum of B.Sc Degree or equivalent third level education
