Position Summary       

The role involves coordinating and day-to-day running of the International Trade aspect of GWWO’s Logistics Operations Department’s activities, including International Trade, Transport, Stock and Quality monitoring, review,and management support. The candidate must be able to self-manage and motivate, deal with new remits and challenges, and be proactive in identifying and implementing new procedures and flows. A key element is developing relationships, educating and coaching the specialists and technicians/admin, and working as part of the team. Open, clear communication, flow of information and support of managers are key elements of the role.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Oversight of the International Trade aspect of GWWO’s Logistics Operations Department’s activities and other areas as requested:
  • Provide guidance, support and hands-on training to peers and/or direct reports and share expertise and knowledge
  • Coordinate specific requirements for particular markets; tailoring documentation related to international activities; invoices, packing list, etc and consolidate with the rest of the documents issued by other departments in order to organise the shipments to the final destination.
  • Participate in the legal formalities, compliance and reporting related to international activities in/out Dublin; Intrastat, Tariff classification, etc.
  • Transportation coordination with freight forwarders approved according to regulatory and business requirements, following the transport companies, routes and timelines validated.
  • Participate in stock monitoring, review and management forecasting shipment bookings with freight forwarders and coordinate with customer service/ third parties to schedule and optimise shipments (Inbound/ Outbound).
  • Support in quality affairs, monitoring, review and closing out of outstanding requirements with regard GDP compliance, deviations and other quality matters.
  • Participate in monitoring, review and transport requirements; setting up new routes, carrying out risk assessments, validating routes and maintaining shared files with regard to transport information and requirements.

  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in International Trade, Logistics, and/or Customer Service or a Supply Chain role with the ability to communicate well cross-functionally internally and also externally with third parties.
  • Good people skills and an effective communicator.
  • Have the ability to source information and disseminate as required.
  • Emphasis is on Foreign Trade and international business procedures. Candidate’s ability to have a growth mind-set and gain further on-the-job experience in the following areas is essential (not an exhaustive list): Customs-Import/Export procedures, Product Classification (tariff codes), EU regulations, and Intrastat.

Desirable:

  • CGxP environment knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or ERP systems
  • Knowledge of cold chain transport
  • Experience working with temperature-controlled products & temp data loggers
  • Stock management and quality-related experience would be beneficial
