Position Summary
The Director, Global Demand & Supply Execution is responsible for building and leading a robust, agile, and high‑performing global demand and supply execution capability that ensures consistent, high‑quality, and on‑time product delivery across Grifols’ Biopharma portfolio worldwide.
Reporting to the VP of Biopharma Supply & Demand Planning, this role ensures strong alignment between global demand signals and supply execution across all regions and markets, enabling business performance, customer service excellence, and inventory optimization.
The Director serves as a key business partner to Regional Commercial Leadership teams and is a core leader within the global Biopharma Supply & Demand organization. The position drives execution excellence, transparency, and consistency across regions while supporting enterprise‑wide transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires a hands‑on leadership approach, with the ability to actively resolve complex global demand and supply challenges, lead cross‑regional initiatives, and contribute to the broader governance, capability development, and leadership of the Biopharma Supply & Demand organization. Success in this role depends on strong cross‑functional collaboration, analytical rigor, and a results‑driven mindset.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate the monthly sales forecasting process with key stakeholders, partnering closely with Commercial teams to improve forecast accuracy and address forecast bias through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain a robust monthly demand plan, integrating forecast changes and inventory constraints to ensure product inventory remains within defined target ranges.
- Own and manage the monthly Opportunity & Vulnerability (O&V) assessment process to proactively identify risks and mitigations.
- Track, analyze, and report monthly KPIs related to sales forecasting accuracy, demand planning effectiveness, customer service, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead monthly regional demand planning meetings, ensuring alignment and decision clarity across stakeholders.
- Facilitate weekly tactical execution meetings between Commercial teams and Global Supply to drive prioritization, assess demand changes, and manage supply and inventory adjustments.
- Prepare and present monthly executive management review materials, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key decisions required.
- Coordinate and communicate projected inventory positions to Regional Commercial Leadership on a monthly basis.
- Support and enable the regional rollout of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and tools, including Kinaxis RapidResponse.
- Provide strong leadership and role modeling to continuously evolve best practices in demand management and supply execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across demand planning, supply execution, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Lead or support additional strategic projects as required by leadership or evolving business priorities.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven people management experience, including coaching and developing teams.
- Strong proficiency with planning and supply chain systems, particularly SAP and Kinaxis RapidResponse.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced, global environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on execution excellence.
- Spanish language skills are preferred but not required, given corporate headquarters in Spain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 15 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the life sciences industry across commercial, supply chain, planning, or data analytics‑related roles.
