POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor, Inventory Control, is responsible for shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and inventory of all goods in the warehouse, and directs the movement of all Raw Materials, Intermediate Products/Paste, Final Containers, Finished Goods, and miscellaneous accessories.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Shipping, Receiving, and Storing of Raw Materials, Final Container, and Intermediate Product in a GMP compliant manner.
- Supports Manufacturing dept with Raw Material Orders and Chemical Dispensing.
- Accurate and Proper Execution of Inventory Control and the associated SAP Inventory Database System.
- Storage and Handling of Biohazardous and Hazardous (Chemical) Waste in a safe and GMP compliant manner.
- Accurate and Proper Execution of the Material Destruction Order program.
- Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
- Proper Execution of the Housekeeping Program in a safe, organized, and GMP compliant manner.
- Maintenance, Organization, and Archiving of All Critical Documents.
- Participates in Establishing Routine Methods and Departmental Procedures.
- Support and Comply to the ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
- Personnel Performance Evaluation and Training
- Work is performed in an office and warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.
- Provides support to other intracompany entities such as BioMat and Grifols, Inc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

- A High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of eight (8) years of related Material Handling experience, preferably in an FDA-regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and compliance requirements for the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Good oral and written skills.
- Able to solve routine, day-to-day issues.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide variety of internal and external personnel.
- Frequently drives to site locations: Los Angeles to City of Industry.
- Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Works independently with little guidance.
- Relies on oral or written instructions.
- Plans work schedules to meet goals.
- Frequently interacts with others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for 2-4 hours per day.
- Ability to stand for extended periods - up to four (4) hours at a time.
- Manual dexterity to perform all job functions.
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.
- Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.
- Exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals and biological hazards.
The estimated pay scale for the Supervisor, Inventory Control role based in Los Angeles, CA, is $73,540 to $82,000 year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
