The Cost Controlling Manager is responsible for the consolidation of budgeting, Product Cost, Manufacturing variance Analysis and Results for Grifols Diagnostics Division. Our Cost Controlling Manager will also serve as a business partner for the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) Operations.


Primary responsibilities for role:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare the consolidation of Diagnostic Industrial monthly results and prepare monthly Industrial financial reports
- Coordinate, planning and preparation of the annual Budget and Mid-Year Forecast.
- Provide a robust challenge to the business during planning processes to ensure our Division budgets and forecasts are reasonable.
- Act as an Expert for Grifols Diagnostics Division for our cost controlling team and areas that include analysis in manufacturing variances and product costs.
- Provide support to implement Industrial division wide initiatives and projects
- Coordinate with other Grifols affiliates for areas impacting Diagnostic, e.g. production volume and manufacturing expenses
- Consolidate and coordinate with Engineering and Facilities teams on capital expenditure levels, summarize and consolidate for the Division Reporting
Business support
- Provide financial support to Sr. Director, CDMO and managers.
- Provide robust challenges to the business during planning processes to ensure budgets and forecasts are reasonable.
- Work closely with the business and coordinate the control and optimization of manufacturing costs and proper revenue recognition.
- Preparation of monthly and Ad Hoc reporting packages, assistance in the business cases preparation.
Financial Systems
- Proactively identify and drive through efficiencies and quality improvements with respect to capturing, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Work with Finance teams in the plants and IT teams to ensure systems are configured to meeting the changing structure of the business unit.

- The Cost Controlling Manager Will Support the Finance Area with initiatives and will also actively participate in the Global Industrial Finance meetings.
- Continually improve the quality of support provided.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Cost accounting and inventory experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Masters or CPA preferred.


8-10 years Finance or Cost Accounting experience, preferably with experience within a pharmaceutical organization.

Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.

Occupational Demands:
May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 25 pounds in weight, and/or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 10 pounds in weight frequently or continuously.
