Manager, Plasma Supply Chain Operations

M-F 7:30am - 3:30pm (Flexible)

 

Summary:

 

Manages Grifols' Plasma Supply Chain Operations activities associated with the receipt, distribution, storage, and inventory control of raw plasma stored at the East Coast or West Coast Grifols Plasma Logistics Centers to ensure the highest level of compliance, safety, and conformance to procedures  specified by SOP's , cGMP's, and OSHA standards.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

1. Directs the receipt, storage, and distribution of all raw plasma and maintains oversight of the Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping areas in the plasma logistics center while maintaining the highest level of cGMP compliance.                                                                                                                                                                                                         

2. Oversees plasma receiving and scheduling activities, plasma batch retrieval, plasma lot assembly and delivery, associated documentation completion, and inventory (SGP) update                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

3. System owner of the Warehouse Management System, PLC conveyor systems, and robotic material handling systems and responsible for driving continuous system and process improvements for those systems.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

4. Accountable and responsible for a major cold storage logistics operation holding inventories valued between $60M and $150M. Maintains facilities and other capital assets value in excess of $35M.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

5. Identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies by observing processes/interviewing personnel and comparing to industry best practices. Introduces proposals/plans to implement changes to senior/executive management, drives the implementation upon senior/executive management approval.                                                                                

6. Establishes departmental performance objectives and measurements and verifies the creation of metrics, efficiency reports, and key performance indicators.                           

7. Manages and develops departmental budgets and also manages expenses and operations within established parameters.

 

Education:

 

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, business administration, engineering, or a related field. APICS certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.

 

Experience:

 

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.  Project or technical leadership experience required.  Supervisory or management experience preferred.

 

  

KSAs:

 

Working knowledge of manufacturing and system processes, inventory controls, and strong knowledge of cGMP's and other regulatory requirements.  Must demonstrate leadership and independent decision making capabilities, have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and possess a high level of urgency and responsiveness.  The ability to lead cross functional team as well as to adapt to changing priorities is essential.

The estimated pay scale for Manager, Plasma Supply Chain Operations role based in California, is $89,540.00 to $134,310.00 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 8% of the company bonus pool. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
